This venue gives all the feels of and old fashioned new York Italian. The inside is gradeous but cosy with a central bar area and plenty of seats to watch the chefs tireless work to bring great food to your table. Whilst a tas expensive the food is tasty and more thank the usual play on Italian food. For me the carbonara was very good, with crispy bits added on top that just elevated the dish an extra level. The chips the slightest of background flavour again just elevating the food that little higher. By all means this is not the best Italian food I've had but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't a good shot. In short, it will not be a cheap meal but there are cocktails, good music and food and so very much a place to frequent when looking for that romantic or comfy night out we all enjoy. Be aware there is a service charge of 12.5%

Everything was brilliant, we came in abit early and it wasn’t a problem we waited at the bar where we could get an early start on drinks which I thought was lovely, we were then brought to our table. We were served by Josh, he was brilliant throughout our whole meal, he was very attentive and got us everything we asked for. The food was absolutely delicious, I got the burger and it was to die for, so I’d definitely recommend that. My boyfriend described it as one of the best restaurants we’ve been too and I couldn’t agree more. Thankyou Gustos restaurant and also Josh for this lovely experience all round. We will definitely be back ! 🩷

This was the perfect setting for a Valentine’s Day meal. Lights were dimmed, relaxed atmosphere and amazing food. Our server Josh was amazing nothing was too much to ask of him and he was friendly and just over all amazing. Even intrigued in what we had been doing during the day and if we had any plans after the meal. To start me and my boyfriend both had the same and it was lovely, slow cooked beef in breadcrumbs and the beef just melted apart. We also had a half and half garlic bread that came shaped in a heart. A lovely touch. For our mains I had the Lagsanga and my boyfriend had a pizza, this was all fresh and amazing. Deserts were just incredible moreish. Overall a lovely experience for a very special day. We will be returning.

Our experience at Gusto was unfortunately far below the score it currently has. As soon as we walked in, the first thing we were told was that the pizza oven wasn’t working which meant no pizzas and no garlic bread. We may not have gone specifically for pizza, but just imagine the disappointment for people who did, especially after making a reservation. This is something that should definitely be communicated in advance. For starters, we ordered the Beef Fritto, Focaccia, and Steak Tartare. The best among them was the Beef Fritto. The other two were very average. The focaccia, in particular, was not something you would expect from an Italian restaurant. For mains, we chose the Butternut Squash Risotto and the Chateaubriand. We asked for the steak to be cooked medium well, but it came well done and unfortunately very dry. The greens served alongside it were also disappointing, they didn’t look fresh at all, and you could even tell this from the photo. The main reasons this place is getting its current score from me are the very sweet server we had and the atmosphere. Those were the best parts of the experience. For dessert, we ordered the affogato. It was average, nothing particularly special about it.
