About Venue

Where heritage meets production value. 60 Great Queen Street is a Grade II* listed Art Deco landmark in the heart of Covent Garden, formerly Freemasons' Hall, now one of London's most distinctive event destinations. The building's soaring ceilings, marble staircases, mosaic detailing and bronze Tower Doors create a setting that no amount of dressing can replicate. But it's not just a beautiful backdrop: the venue is built to perform, with serious production infrastructure, flexible space configurations, expert trusted partners and a dedicated in-house team
For large-scale conferences, summits, screenings and premieres, the Grand Temple is the headline space. Fixed tiered seating, exceptional sightlines and a permanent stage make it a natural auditorium. Multiple ceiling rigging points, no weight restrictions on lighting or staging installations and 110-decibel sound capability offer desirable technical specifications, making it equally effective for a high-production conference day as for a film premiere or brand screening. A full Grand Temple booking includes the Tower Doors and Grade II listed foyer and cloakroom for arrival and registration, The Vestibules on the first floor as your central catering and networking hub throughout the day, and The Long Room alongside as a breakout, exhibition or sponsor space. Maximum capacity is 900 guests, with optimal numbers between 300-600; the space is equally scalable for events of 200 or fewer. The Grand Officers Suite, South Gallery, Gallery and additional committee rooms are available to expand the footprint further.
The Vestibules with Tower Doors, Foyer and Long Room are also available for exclusive hire independent of the Grand Temple and are perfect for dinners, after parties or brand activations. The Vestibules are three interconnected Art Deco rooms on the first floor, accessible through the iconic bronze Tower Doors via the marble staircase, creating an impressive sense of occasion from the moment guests arrive, before they even reach the event space itself. With 430m² of usable floor and original ornate dividing doors, the rooms can flow as a single open venue or be separated into distinct zones, working for a seated dinner of up to 300, a reception of up to 500. The Long Room sits alongside the Vestibules and operates naturally as a secondary space - tucked away enough to function as a speakeasy-style bar or lounge.
For events of up to 150, The Gallery and Anteroom is a self-contained conference space on the ground floor of the building. The Gallery is a high-ceilinged, naturally lit room that works in theatre or cabaret layout and pairs directly with its own private Anteroom which handles arrival refreshments and registration in the morning and lunch service during the day, meaning the main room stays set throughout. An all-inclusive AV package covers screen, projector, PA, lectern and handheld mics; bespoke production is available. The Old Boardroom and additional committee rooms can be added for breakout spaces.
Across all configurations, catering is delivered exclusively by Moving Venue and the venue is operated by Smart Group. Access is from 07:00–23:00 as standard, with a late licence available until 2am.

A self-contained conference space offering one of the most accessible Art Deco options in central London. It works in theatre or cabaret layout for up to 150 guests and the adjoining Anteroom makes the day operationally simple: guests register and take arrival coffee there in the morning, it turns around for lunch during the day and the Gallery stays set throughout.

Part palace, part museum, part coffeehouse. The cappuccino here could initiate you into the mysteries. The hand-painted aprons are so exquisite they feel like talismans in their own right. A place where beauty and symbolism merge seamlessly.
